About Recruitment
- The Border Security Force (BSF) is one of India's premier paramilitary forces, tasked with guarding the country's land borders during peacetime and preventing transnational crime.
- Currently, BSF is inviting applications for various Constable and Inspector positions under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
Salary
- For Inspector (Librarian), the salary will be as per pay level 7 (Rs. 44,900 - 1,42,400).
- For SI (Staff Nurse), the salary will be as per pay level 6 (Rs. 35,400 - 1,12,400).
- For ASI (Lab Technician) and ASI (Physiotherapist), the salary will be as per pay level 5 (Rs. 29,900 - 92,300).
- For SI (Vehicle Mechanic), the salary will be as per pay level 6 (Rs. 35,400 - 1,12,400).
- For Constable (Technical), the salary will be as per pay level 3 (Rs. 21,700 - 69,100).
- For HC (Veterinary), the salary will be as per pay level 4 (Rs. 25,500 - 81,100).
- For Constable (Kennelman), the salary will be as per pay level 3 (Rs. 21,700 - 69,100).
How to apply
- Candidates must be citizens of India.
- Applications must be submitted online through the BSF website http://rectt.bsf.gov.in. No other submission methods are accepted.
- Candidates should first complete the 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION' (OTR) process by providing basic information such as Name, Mobile Number, and Email ID.
- Ensure that you use an active mobile number and email ID for the OTR process.
- Upon submission of the required information, candidates will receive their Registration ID and password via the provided mobile number and email address.
- Candidates can apply for positions by clicking the 'APPLY HERE' link next to the relevant advertisement.
- Fill in the basic personal information carefully in the application form.
- After entering all necessary information, candidates can preview their application form. If corrections are needed, click "back."
- No changes can be made after clicking the "submit" button.
- Candidates must pay the application fee, which can be done via Net banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or at the nearest Common Service Centre. Applications will not be considered if the fee is unpaid.
- After successful fee payment, the application process will be complete. Candidates should print out the application form for their records.
Selection Procedure
- For Inspector (Librarian): The selection procedure will be in two stages. In Stage-I, candidates have to take a written examination consisting of 150 objective-type questions, totaling 150 marks, with a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
- Candidates who qualify in the first stage will be called for Stage-II, which consists of a Physical Standard Test (PST), document verification, and a Medical Examination.
- For SI(Staff Nurse), ASI (Lab Technician, Physiotherapist), Constable(Technical), HC (Veterinary), Constable (Kennelman): The selection procedure will also be in two stages. In Stage-I, candidates have to take a written examination consisting of 100 objective-type questions, totaling 100 marks, with a duration of 2 hours.
- Candidates who qualify in the first stage will be called for Stage-II, which consists of a Physical Standard Test (PST), document verification, and a Medical Examination.
