About Recruitment

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts the Combined Technical Services Examination (CTSE) to recruit qualified candidates for various technical positions in the state government departments of Tamil Nadu.
This examination is an important gateway for those aspiring to secure a stable and prestigious career in public service within the technical domain.
Currently, TNPSC is inviting applications for the Combined Technical Services Examination.
To apply for the above examination, candidates should have adequate knowledge of the Tamil language.

Salary

Salary and other benefits will be based on the rank and pay structure of the respective department/institute.

How to apply

Candidates have to apply only on the official website of the commission, i.e., www.tnpscexams.in. No other mode of application will be accepted.
It is essential for candidates to register themselves through One Time Registration (OTR). If a candidate has already registered, they can proceed to fill out the application directly.
Candidates have to pay Rs. 150 as registration fees for the One Time Registration (OTR), which will be valid for 5 years.
Candidates should provide their own valid and active mobile number and email ID for OTR. All communication regarding the application will be done through the registered email ID and mobile number.
Linking of the Aadhar card is mandatory for One Time Registration (OTR).
If a candidate has registered themselves on the OTR, they can proceed to fill out the application.
To fill out the online application, candidates have to visit the official website or the link provided under the "Apply Link" and click on the Apply button of this post notification.
Candidates should log in with their Login ID and password.
Candidates have to select two district centers as the preference for the written examination.
Candidates should fill out the application form carefully and click on the ‘SAVE AND PROCEED’ button at the end of each page.
Candidates can preview the application before finally submitting it. Once the application is completed, click on the 'Submit' button.
Candidates have to pay the examination fee of Rs. 200 online through Net Banking/Credit card/Debit card.
After the successful online transaction of the fee, an Application Number / Applicant ID will be generated. Candidates should note down the Application Number / Applicant ID for future reference.
Candidates can correct their application during the 3-day Application Correction Window period, i.e., from 19/06/2024 to 21/06/2024.

Selection Procedure

The selection of candidates will be in two stages: written examination and interview.
The written exam consists of Part-I and Part-II.
For posts other than Tamil Reporter and English Reporter, Part-I will be of 300 marks and Part-II will be of 300 marks. Both papers have to be completed in 6 hours.
For Tamil Reporter and English Reporter posts, Part-I will be of 300 marks and Part-II will be of 300 marks. Both papers have to be completed in 4.5 hours.
The interview will carry 60 marks. The final selection will be based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the written exam (Part B of Paper I, Paper II) and the interview.
