Assistant Commissioner	21	Bachelor of Law degree(3/5 years) from a recognised Institute in inida. Aleast 3 years experience in practicing as an Advocate or as a Pleader in a Court of Civil or Criminal Jurisdiction.
District Educational Officer	8	Master degree with B.T/B.Ed. from a recognised institute in india. For Teacher candidates, Master degree with atleast 12years of the experinece in teaching required.

About Recruitment

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is a constitutional body established by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
TNPSC is responsible for recruiting candidates for a diverse range of positions, including Group 1, Group 2, Group 3, and Group 4 services, as well as various technical and non-technical roles in state government departments, corporations, and boards.
Currently, the Commission is inviting applications for the Combined Civil Service Examination 2024.

How to apply

Candidates must be Indian citizens.
Applications should be submitted only through the online mode on the Commission's website, www.tnpscexams.in.
Candidates must first register themselves on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform available on the Commission’s website, and then proceed to fill out the online application for the examination.
Candidates are required to register only once on the One Time Registration platform by paying a registration fee of Rs. 150.
A successfully registered One Time Registration remains valid for five years from the date of registration.
A valid email ID and mobile number are mandatory for One Time Registration, and they must remain active.
Linking the Aadhaar number with One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory for candidates, and the information associated with the Aadhaar number will be used solely for identification purposes.
Candidates who wish to apply for any post should click “APPLY” against the examination notified on the Commission‘s website and use the same user ID and password provided for One Time Registration.
When applying online, candidates may select two district centers as their preferences for the preliminary examination. They will be allotted a venue in one of these two district centers.
Candidates should carefully fill in the details in the online application at the appropriate places and click on the ‘SAVE AND PROCEED’ button at the end of each page of the application.
An individual is considered to have applied for a recruitment only if they finally submit the application by clicking the ‘SUBMIT’ button.
The preliminary examination fee of Rs. 100 should be paid at the time of submitting the online application for this recruitment, unless an exemption of fee is claimed.
After the last date for submission of online application, the Application Correction Window will open for three days from 27.05.2024 to 29.05.2024.
During this period, candidates will be able to edit the details in their online application.

Selection Procedure

The Combined Civil Services Examination (Group I-B and I-C Services) consists of two successive stages: the Preliminary Examination and the Main Examination.
The Common Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) is conducted to select candidates for the Main Examination. It carries a total of 300 marks and lasts for 3 hours.
The Main Examination comprises a Written examination and an interview.
The Written exam is divided into 4 papers, each lasting 3 hours and carrying a total of 850 marks. There is also an interview component, which carries 100 marks.
