About Recruitment
- The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is the state agency responsible for conducting recruitment examinations and selecting candidates for various civil services and government jobs in Andhra Pradesh, India.
- Currently, the commission is inviting applications for Forest Range Officers in the Andhra Pradesh Forest Service.

Salary
- The selected candidate will receive a salary in the pay scale of Rs. 48,440/- to Rs. 1,37,220/-.
How to apply
- Candidates must have a valid personal email ID and mobile number, which should remain active throughout the recruitment process.
- To apply for the post, the applicant must log in to the Commission’s Website i.e., https://psc.ap.gov.in with their registered OTPR number.
- If applying for the first time, candidates must first fill the OTPR application carefully to obtain the OTPR ID.
- After logging in, candidates should click on the “Online Application Submission” button located at the bottom right corner of the Commission’s website.
- Next, click on the Fill Application button against the notification number for which you wish to apply.
- Fill in all required details such as qualification details, post preferences, examination center, etc., carefully and submit the application form with the Save or Save & Submit option.
- Note that clicking on the “Save” button partially saves the application details, while clicking on “Save & Submit” finally submits the application after successful payment of the fee.
- Upon successful submission, a payment reference ID is generated, and an SMS alert is sent to the registered mobile number.
- Candidates can download the filled application PDF for future reference.
- Corrections in the application will be enabled after the last date of submission and will be allowed for up to 7 days only.
- A fee of Rs. 100/- per correction will be charged for corrections, except for changes in name, fee, and age relaxation.
- Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-Receipt and online Application Form. Please note that if the e-Receipt cannot be generated, the online transaction may not have been successful.
Selection Procedure
- The selection of candidates will be through a Screening Test, Main Examination (CBT), and Computer Proficiency Test.
- The screening test will be objective-type, consisting of General Studies & Mental Ability, Mathematics (SSC Standard), and General Forestry - I & II with 150 marks.
- For each wrong answer in the screening test, 1/3rd marks will be deducted.
- The main exam consists of General English, General Telugu, General Studies & Mental Ability, Mathematics (SSC standard), and General Forestry I and II with 600 marks.
- A Computer Proficiency Test (Qualifying Test) will be conducted for eligible candidates in the ratio of 1:3 with reference to the total number of vacancies notified.
- The Computer Proficiency Test will assess proficiency in Office Automation with the usage of Computers and Associated Software, totaling 100 marks and completed within a 1-hour duration.
