The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) functions as an independent and impartial body, ensuring fair and transparent selection processes for government positions in Himachal Pradesh.
The commission conducts recruitment examinations for various posts such as civil services, administrative services, engineering services, medical services, teaching positions, and other departmental exams.
Online Recruitment Applications are invited from desirous and eligible candidates for recruitment to various posts in different Departments of Government of Himachal Pradesh to be filled up through H.P. Administrative Service Competitive Examination-2024.

How to apply

Detailed instructions for filling up the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) are provided on the website of the Commission, accessible at “http://www.hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc”.
Interested and eligible candidates may visit the official website of the Commission (http://www.hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc) and navigate to the “Apply Online” link on the Home Page.
Upon reaching the designated page, candidates will proceed by clicking on the link titled “One Time Registration (OTR) for Examinations” and follow the instructions to register and create their profile, opting for “New Registration” if not previously registered.
Once registration is completed or if already registered, candidates will log into their OTR account. Upon logging in, the candidate will be presented with a list of live advertisements on their dashboard.
Candidates will apply for specific posts exclusively through this portal. Submission of the application will only be finalized after uploading the required documents as per the advertisement.
Candidates are advised that no further opportunity will be provided for document submission after the online recruitment application has been submitted.
Successful submission of an application in online mode is confirmed only after the payment of the fee has been acknowledged, and the fee is credited to the Commission's account.
Examination fees, fixed category-wise, are to be paid online using debit/credit card, UPI, or any other digital mode, on or before the prescribed closing date for submitting online recruitment applications through the OTR portal.
Candidates declared qualified in the Preliminary Examination and admitted to the Main Examination must submit a separate Online Recruitment Application (ORA) along with the required Examination Fee within the specified time frame, as notified by the Commission separately.
The selection process comprises three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Personality Test/Interview.
The Preliminary Examination consists of two objective type papers (multiple choice questions) in General Studies and Aptitude Test, totaling a maximum of 400 marks, as per the syllabus provided in the official notification.
The Main Examination includes compulsory subjects and one optional subject.
Candidates who qualify in the Main Examination based on merit will be called for the Personality Test.
