About Recruitment
- The Railway Protection Force (RPF) is a specialized security force that ensures the safety and security of passengers, railway property, and assets.
- The RPF is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers during their journey by preventing crimes such as theft, robbery, eve-teasing, and other unlawful activities.
- The RPF protects railway property, including stations, trains, tracks, bridges, and other infrastructure, from vandalism, sabotage, and other forms of damage.
- Presently, the RRB is inviting applications for Constables and Sub-Inspectors in the Indian Railways.
- Selected candidates will undergo initial training, and a stipend will be paid during this period.
- Selected candidates shall execute security and/or indemnity bonds if necessary.

Salary
- Upon selection, Constable will have salary as per level 3 of the 7TH CPC and for Sub Inspector as per level 6 of 7TH CPC.
How to apply
- Candidates must be Indian citizens.
- Candidates should have an active mobile number and a valid email ID for all communication during the recruitment process.
- Candidates have to fill out one application against one CEN. Filling out multiple applications will result in summary rejection and debarment from all future examinations of the RRB.
- To fill out the online application, candidates will be asked to create an account. If a candidate has already created an account, they should use the same account to fill out the application.
- If a candidate has not created an account, they must create one and then fill out the application for the CEN.
- Candidates are advised to fill out the details carefully to create an account. Once the account is created, it cannot be modified.
- Candidates can modify their online application by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs. 250.
- Candidates have to pay the fees online through internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI.
Selection Procedure
- The recruitment process comprises three stages: Computer Based Test, Physical Efficiency Test, and Document Verification.
- The Computer Based Test will be based on the 10th/Matric level with a duration of 90 minutes and 120 questions.
- One mark will be awarded for each correct answer, and 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Marks scored in the CBT are used to shortlist candidates for the next stage.
- Candidates are shortlisted based on CBT performance and called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and Document Verification (DV) as per the official notification.
