About Recruitment

The Oriental Insurance Company Limited, a prominent Public Sector General Insurance Company wholly owned by the Government of India, is seeking applications for the recruitment of 100 Officers in Scale I cadre from the open market.
Upon appointment in the Officers' cadre on the regular pay rolls of the Company, candidates will undergo a probationary period of one year from the date of joining duty.
Prior to commencing probation, selected candidates must provide an undertaking to serve the Company for a minimum period of four years, inclusive of the probationary period.
Successful candidates will receive a Basic pay of Rs. 50,925/- within the scale of Rs. 50,925-2500(14)-85,925-2710(4)-96,765, along with other applicable allowances. Currently, the total emoluments are approximately Rs. 85,000/- per month in Metropolitan Centers.

How to apply

Applicants must possess Indian citizenship.
Candidates should visit the Recruitment Section of the Company's website www.orientalinsurance.org.in, navigate to the "Career" section, and click on the "APPLY ONLINE" option to access a new screen.
To initiate the application process, candidates should select the "Click here for New Registration" tab and provide their Name, Contact details, and Email-id. Subsequently, a Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen for candidates to note down.
In the event that a candidate is unable to complete the application form in one session, they can save the entered data by selecting the "SAVE AND NEXT" tab.
Candidates are strongly advised to meticulously fill and verify all details in the online application themselves, as changes will not be entertained after clicking the FINAL SUBMIT BUTTON.
Once verified, candidates can proceed to fill in other necessary details of the Application Form.
Before final submission, candidates should review the entire application form using the Preview Tab to ensure accuracy.
Following verification, candidates should proceed to the 'Payment' Tab and complete the transaction.
Upon successful payment, an e-Receipt will be generated for candidates to print out along with the online Application Form. It is essential to note that failure to generate the e-Receipt may indicate an unsuccessful transaction.
All particulars provided in the online application, including the candidate's Name, Category, Date of Birth, Address, Mobile Number, Email ID, Centre of Examination, etc., will be considered final, and no changes or modifications will be permitted after submission.
The selection procedure includes a Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview.
The Preliminary exam consists of English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude tests totaling 100 marks, with a duration of 1 hour.
The Main exam is worth 300 marks and has a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Candidates shortlisted after the Main Exam will be invited for an Interview conducted by the Company.
