About Recruitment
- The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) serves as the cornerstone of India's defense capabilities, spearheading innovation and technological advancements to safeguard the nation's security interests.
- Combat Vehicles Research & Development Establishment (CVRDE), Avadi, Chennai, is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for ITI apprenticeship training.
- Candidates finally selected for the apprenticeship training will undergo one year of training.

How to apply
- Registration of ITI candidates on the NCVT MIS Portal (https://ncvtmis.gov.in) is mandatory.
- The registration number is to be uploaded while filling out the online application, and this number will be verified during the interview/document verification process.
- Only candidates who have passed their qualifying examination in the years 2021, 2022, or 2023 are eligible to apply. Candidates who passed the qualifying exam before 2021 are not eligible.
- Candidates with a Diploma or Graduate degree in any discipline are not eligible to apply.
- Applications of candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination but whose results have not been declared will not be considered for training.
- Only candidates who have completed the qualifying examination as regular candidates are eligible to apply.
- Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training with any organization are not eligible to apply.
- Candidates with more than one year of work experience are not eligible to apply.
- Applications must be submitted online through the following website: https://drdo.gov.in.
- Candidates are requested to provide correct details for all fields and upload scanned copies of all mandatory documents. Community certificate, address, email, and mobile number must be clearly provided to receive updates regarding interview dates and selection.
- The marks obtained in the qualifying exam should be mentioned in percentage. In the case of CGPA, candidates are requested to convert the CGPA into percentage as per their university norms, and the same may be verified during document verification.
- Candidates are required to bring a signed printout of the application along with the originals of the documents submitted online during the interview/document verification at CVRDE, Chennai.
- Candidates will be notified of their selection status through the email provided in their application form.
