About Recruitment

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination twice a year.
This prestigious examination is a gateway for young aspirants to join the Indian Armed Forces as officers in the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Successful candidates undergo rigorous training at the respective academies before being commissioned as officers.
Candidate should be unmarried.

Salary and other benefits will be based on the rank and pay structure of the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force.

How to apply

A candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal.
Candidates are required to apply online only on the official website upsconline.nic.in.
It is essential for the candidate to register himself/herself once on the platform through One Time Registration (OTR).
OTR has to be registered once in a lifetime. If a candidate has already registered, they can directly proceed with the application.
If a candidate wants to make any changes to his/her OTR profile, it is allowed only once in their lifetime after the initial registration on the OTR platform.
Once registered, the candidate can log in and fill out the application form.
If a candidate wants to modify the application after submission, he/she can do so within 7 days after the closing date of the application, i.e., from 05.06.2024 to 11.06.2024.
Please note that candidates will not be allowed to withdraw their applications after submission.
Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only), either by remitting the money in any branch of SBI by cash, by using Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment, or by using the internet banking facility of any bank.
Eligible candidates will be issued an e-Admit Card on the last working day of the week preceding the date of the examination.
he e-Admit Card will be made available on the UPSC website (http://upsc.gov.in) for downloading by candidates.

Selection Procedure

The selection process includes a written examination and an Intelligence and Personality Test.
The written examination consists of questions from Mathematics and the General Ability Test. The total marks for the written examination are 900, with a duration of 5 hours.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Intelligence and Personality Test.
The Intelligence and Personality Test has two stages: Stage-I and Stage-II.
Stage-I consists of the Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and the Picture Perception and Description Test (PP&DT).
Qualified candidates will be called for Stage-II, which consists of an Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and the Conference. These tests are conducted over 4 days.
