About Recruitment

The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) is a government-owned corporation in India entrusted with the operation of nuclear power plants nationwide.
NPCIL is responsible for the entire lifecycle of nuclear power plants, including design, construction, commissioning, and operation.
Currently, NPCIL has announced vacancies for Executive Trainees in various disciplines such as Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical, and Electronics. Selection will be based on candidates' GATE Scores.
Upon selection, candidates will undergo one year of orientation training in either the Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR) Stream or the Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR) Stream.
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 55,000 along with a one-time book allowance of Rs. 18,000.
Upon completion of training, candidates will hold the grade of Scientific Officer with a pay matrix level of 10 (Rs. 56,000).
Selected candidates are required to sign an agreement, a personal indemnity bond amounting to Rs. 6,78,000, and a service bond committing to serve NPCIL for at least three years after completing the training.

How to apply

Only Indian citizens aged 18 years and above are eligible to apply for the positions.
Candidates must complete the application process through the online portal provided on the website www.npcilcareers.co.in.
It is essential for applicants to provide accurate and relevant information, including their GATE 2022/GATE 2023/GATE 2024 Registration Number, details of qualifying degree, experience (if any), percentage of marks, email address, mobile number, correspondence address, and upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature (in JPEG format), to complete the online application process and obtain an Application number. Therefore, candidates are advised to prepare this information before initiating the online application.
Once submitted, applicants cannot make any changes to the information provided in the application.
After successful completion of the initial stage, an activation link is sent to the applicant's email.
Upon activation, candidates can log in using their credentials to complete the online application by entering details of their educational qualifications, work experience, etc.
The applicant can save the information at any stage using the "Save and Proceed to Next Step" option. When reaching the "Submit Application" stage, a draft of all entered information will be displayed, allowing the applicant to make any necessary modifications.
Application fee payment must be made using debit card/credit card/net-banking/UPI, etc. Upon successful payment, an Application number will be generated.
Candidates for the Executive Trainee 2024 positions will be shortlisted based on the merit drawn from valid GATE 2022, GATE 2023, and GATE 2024 Scores, applying a ratio of 1:12.
Final selection will be based on the candidate's performance in the Personal Interview, subject to medical fitness.
